Ronald Hess, DO, is a highly regarded osteopath, exercise physiologist, and board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with an expertise in sports medicine and knee and shoulder treatments. He’s part of the team of renowned physicians serving the greater Cincinnati area at Beacon Orthopaedics and sees patients at the practice’s locations in West Chester, Ohio.

Dr. Hess graduated from Hobart College in Geneva, New York, with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He decided to incorporate his passion for sports into his education by pursuing a master’s degree in exercise physiology from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, after which he attended A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, for his Doctor of Osteopathy. He followed that up with six rigorous years of postgraduate training in orthopaedics, capped off with a sports medicine fellowship at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida.

As a former four-year NCAA varsity football letterman and current football and lacrosse coach, Dr. Hess has always been passionate about sports, giving him an extra edge in working with athletes. During his sports medicine fellowship, he gained invaluable experience working with professional competitors as a team physician for the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team, Tampa Bay Mutiny soccer team, and Tampa Bay Storm arena football team. He’s also currently the team orthopaedic surgeon for the Miami University sports medicine program, and has been the team physician for Miami University and 22 other Division 1 sports teams since 1999.

Committed to improving quality of life for each of his patients, Brian Rottinghaus, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with over 10 years of medical experience. Dr. Rottinghaus is a member of the team of physicians at Beacon Orthopaedics, practicing at their Cincinnati office in Blue Ash as well as the clinics in Oxford and West Chester, Ohio.

After sustaining a sports injury in college, Dr. Rottinghaus was inspired by the skill and care of his doctor to pursue a career in orthopaedics. After graduating magna cum laude from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in biology, he went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. After his medical schooling, Dr. Rottinghaus completed the San Francisco Orthopaedic Residency Program at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco before moving to Ohio to join the Beacon Orthopaedics fellowship program affiliated with the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

Dr. Rottinghaus has received a number of awards for his academic excellence and expertise in the field of pathology. In addition to general orthopaedics and sports medicine, Dr. Rottinghaus has also received instruction on wilderness medicine after being hand-picked by the Wilderness Medical Society to take part in their program with Roane State Community College in Harrison, Tennessee.

Outside the office, Dr. Rottinghaus is a current member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and enjoys his off-time with his wife and two sons. As a member of the Beacon Orthopaedics team, Dr. Rottinghaus is committed to the health and satisfaction of his patients.

Dr. Singla is passionate about helping people regain their active lifestyles. She specializes in providing comprehensive non-surgical care for spine-related issues, joint pain and a wide variety of pain syndromes.

She is dual board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine and is an integral member of the Beacon Orthopaedics Spine care team. She is also one of the few physicians in the country who is certified in Regenerative Medicine by the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.* Dr. Singla embraces a comprehensive approach to patient care, customizing each treatment plan to her patients’ specific needs. At her disposal is a wide variety of options, including interventional pain procedures, medications, therapy, braces, and patient education. She also performs electrodiagnostic testing.

Dr. Singla grew up in Cincinnati. She attended an accelerated program for undergraduate and medical school at Northeastern Ohio Medical University and completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Singla further advanced her training and education by completing a fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Kentucky. Previously, she worked for a private practice orthopedic group in St. Louis and served as Medical Director of an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Wilmington, Ohio, prior to joining Beacon Orthopaedics in 2015.

Dr. True earned his undergraduate degree from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, where he also completed his internship and residency.

He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedics and is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Mid-America Orthopaedic Association, Ohio Orthopaedic Society, Cincinnati Orthopaedic Society, American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Society and the Butler County Medical Society.

His areas of interest include total knee replacement, total hip replacement including anterior approach, sports-related injuries, fracture care in adults and children, and arthroscopic treatment of the knee.
